Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a hands-on Senior/Lead Application Security professional to deliver high-impact security engagements for our Professional Services Security Assurance (PSSA) team. You will translate complex risks into actionable security postures for customers, ensuring secure by design deployments.

You'll lead assessments across web, mobile, API, cloud, and AI-enabled applications, conduct threat modeling, and produce reports for technical and executive audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Application Security, Product Security or Security Consulting.
• 8+ years for Lead level in Application Security, Product Security or Security Consulting.
• Hands-on security assessments incl. architecture/design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, penetration testing, and cloud security reviews.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, and common attack techniques.
• Experience with modern app architectures: web apps, APIs, microservices, containers, cloud-native, AI-enabled apps.
• Ability to communicate security findings, risk, and remediation to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments across web, mobile, API, cloud, and AI-enabled apps, including architecture/design reviews and threat modeling.
• Develop comprehensive security assessment reports with findings, risk ratings, and remediation guidance.
• Serve as a trusted security advisor, providing practical remediation guidance to customers.
• Collaborate with Professional Services to integrate security across the SDLC from design to deployment.
• Develop and enhance assessment methodologies, automation, and tooling for improved quality and scalability.
• Define technical security standards, reference architectures, and secure development guidelines.
• Research emerging technologies and attack techniques to improve assessment approaches and recommendations.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and consultative engagement.
