Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a secure processing solutions team for next-generation U.S. military products.

You will guide embedded cryptographic software across development phases, ensuring technical excellence, cost control, and schedule adherence. This onsite role requires a transferable Secret clearance and a proven track record in leading engineers across software, hardware, FPGA, and systems design.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, task delegation, and cross-functional collaboration in a technical development environment.
• Experience in program execution, including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management.
• Experienced with embedded software development.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
