Job summary

Arch Precision, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Secondary Operations Supervisor to oversee post-machining finishing, gage pinning, and quality inspections in our fast-paced precision machine shop. You will lead a team focused on verifying tight tolerances and ensuring parts meet customer specifications.

This role requires hands-on supervision, proficiency with measuring tools (pin gages, micrometers, calipers), and continuous improvement through SOP adherence and lean practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection.
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and schedule the secondary operations and inspection team.
• Oversee gage pinning and dimensional verification using plug gages, micrometers, and calipers.
• Monitor visual inspection standards for cosmetic defects and surface blemishes.
• Track scrap and rework rates; investigate root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Train new hires on handling, measurement techniques, and SOPs.
• Maintain inspection logs and quality documentation per ISO 9001 / AS9100.
