Job summary

South St Paul Public Schools seeks an Assistant Cook Manager to join the Nutrition Services team. You will assist in total kitchen operations, lead in the Cook Manager's absence, and perform duties related to meal service, inventory and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager certificate (or willingness to obtain within six months). This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits through the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a current Certified Food Protection Manager certificate or obtain within six months of hire.
• Continued employment contingent upon licenses and certificates being maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and lunch items as directed.
• Serve student meals and a la carte items; operate POS.
• Monitor reimbursable meals and ensure proper inventory control.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations and rotate stored items.
• Fill in for Cook Manager when absent and attend required trainings.
