Qualifications

• Building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment knowledge.
• Knowledge of heating systems operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to supervise and assign tasks to subordinates.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks to crew of cleaners and custodians and supervises their work.
• Supervises operation of school buildings during school events.
• Checks heating and ventilating equipment for proper working order.
• Makes minor repairs to lockers, doors, windows, etc.
• Requisitions, receives, and distributes building cleaning supplies.
• Assists in the performance of routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Education

Two years cleaning and maintenance experience

One year related maintenance experience (carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter, mechanic, steam fitter)
