Responsibilities

• May serve as the head custodian in an elementary school or head night custodian in a middle or high school.
• Supervise custodial workers; clean interiors and maintain grounds.
• Ensure doors are locked and secured; clean classrooms, carpets, restrooms, hallways; handle deliveries.
• Work with approved groups for events and setup.
• Coordinate with Fire Marshall and sprinkler inspections.
• Clean carpets, replace lights, and inspect building.
• Assign duties to custodial staff as required.
• Assist when other staff are out and with special events.
