Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is hiring for an intermediate to senior custodial position. You will supervise custodial staff, clean classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and hallways, and assist with special events.

Qualifications

• GED or some high school required; considerable custodial experience.
• High School Diploma preferred; training provided in safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff and oversee school interior cleaning.
• Maintain school grounds and respond to facility issues.
• Assist with event setup and teardown for school activities.
• Ensure doors are locked, spaces cleaned, and waste managed.
• Coordinate with vendors and deliveries; assist when staff is out.
• Support safety inspections and building inspections.
