Job summary

North Boone Community Unit School District 200 is seeking a Head Custodian to lead the custodial team at North Boone Middle School. The role focuses on building operations, safety, and maintaining clean, welcoming spaces for students and staff.

Responsibilities include supervising daily work of custodial staff, coordinating with the Director of Facilities, and ensuring tasks are completed to standard. A high school diploma and custodial experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in custodial or facilities work preferred.
• Ability to perform basic cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
• Ability to lead and direct custodial staff.
• Ability to prioritize work and stay organized.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and supervisors.
• Ability to use email and the work order system to receive, update, and complete assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Building Operations.
• Monitor building systems and report issues through work order system.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (lights, filters, and minor fixes defined as quick, low-risk tasks that can be completed in under 30 minutes, without specialized training or permits).
• Complete assigned work orders, provide updates, and close out tasks in the system.
