Job summary

Spring Lake Park Schools is seeking a Head Custodian to oversee daily custodial operations across multiple sites, ensuring a sanitary and safe learning environment for students and staff. The role includes supervising custodians, managing schedules, and coordinating with building administration and vendors.

Under direct supervision, you will respond to facility issues, maintain preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and district policies.

Qualifications

• High School or Vocational School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2nd Class Boilers license or higher.
• MN Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-work physical.
• Previous successful experience in building management/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe work environment.
• Delivers items and materials to ensure adequate supplies.
• Informs staff and supervisor about activities, safety and maintenance matters.
• Inspects facilities for safe operations and needed repairs.
• Oversees and assists custodial staff in schedules and evaluations.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and coordinates requisitions.
• Responds to safety or operational concerns to resolve issues.
• Trains custodial staff on procedures and safety.
