Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, marriage/family therapy, psychology or social work.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional post-masters work experience providing counseling and/or therapy to individuals and/or their families.
• Hawaii licensure in Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist or Marriage and Family Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the work performance of behavioral health specialists and other staff delivering school-based services.
• Evaluate staff performance and complete performance appraisals within required timeframes.
• Ensure services are delivered to students per IEP/504 plans and guidelines.
• Collaborate with contracted providers to plan essential services for students with complex needs.
• Provide technical support to principals and teachers on integrating school-based behavioral health services into programs.
• Assist in program development and evaluation planning for district-wide services.
• May provide direct behavioral health services as needed.
