Job summary

The Weitz Company is hiring a Scheduling Manager II to lead scheduling for our Florida unit in West Palm Beach, FL. This role manages baseline schedules, performs variance analysis, and collaborates with project teams to resolve risks and improve processes.

You will mentor schedulers, conduct high-level schedule reviews, and drive continuous improvement across mega projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong planning and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• GC experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in project or construction management or equivalent experience.
• 8 years scheduling experience on large, complex projects; forensic scheduling expertise.
• LEAN construction principles a plus.
• PSP designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling processes and personnel across multiple projects, ensuring consistency with standards.
• Develop complex, resource-loaded baseline schedules for large projects, ensuring contractual alignment.
• Update schedules, analyze variances against baselines, and work with project teams.
• Mentor schedulers and promote continuous improvement.
• Lead high-level reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with goals.
• Serve as the primary scheduling contact for complex projects and guide teams.
• Lead Pull Planning sessions with trade partners to optimize execution.
• Implement scheduling policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify and mitigate schedule risks and support timely completion.
• Lead forensic scheduling efforts including delay analysis and claims review.
• Collaborate to assess risks and mitigation strategies; test advanced tools and practices.
• Oversee training programs for schedulers and project teams.
• Prepare high-level schedule reports for senior leadership; apply EVM as needed.
• Support pursuit opportunities with proposal schedules and business development input.
