Job summary

Rheem in Montgomery, AL seeks a Working Leader IV/Scheduler to coordinate tasks for the safe production of high-quality water heater products. This role serves as the primary liaison between production staff and the work center facilitator, ensuring smooth operation of the line in the Water Heater Division.

You will oversee scheduling, coaching, and the implementation of lean initiatives, while ensuring adherence to ISO standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
Must have held current job for at least 6 months prior to bidding.
Ability to perform lifting of 25–60 lbs and stand/walk during shift.
Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, assign work for individuals, group or team to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
Perform routine tasks and coordinate with other workers while setting pace and using proper work methods.
Monitor status and progress, review work, and ensure instructions and deadlines are met.
Report progress and training needs to supervisor.
Provide training per ISO standards.
Interpret specifications and drawings to hourly employees.
Assist in cost control and maintenance of tools, machines, and materials.
Ensure 6S, safety, and environmental rules are followed.
Coach team in lean initiatives and build consensus among team members.
Prepare and maintain records and communicate work-related information to supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
