Qualifications

• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks and manage workflow in a busy hospital admitting environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
• Ability to mentor schedulers and provide training across the team.
• Experience scheduling 1–3 years in a healthcare setting or similar.
• Proficient in data entry and Windows-based systems, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the Schedulers, coordinating daily activities and workload to ensure high-quality, responsive scheduling services.
• Interview applicants and contribute to Associate evaluations and corrective actions.
• Schedule patient care procedures accurately, considering type, location, and provider availability; reschedule as needed.
• Document patient care activity in progress notes and relay information to staff in a timely manner.
• Act as a resource to Associates and supervise in the absence of leadership.
