Job summary

Acadian Contractors, Inc. on the East Coast is seeking a Scaffold Builder Superintendent to oversee erection and dismantling of scaffolds in Cocoa, FL. The role leads the scaffold crew, ensuring safety and task understanding, inspecting scaffolds, and signing off on required paperwork and JSAs.

The Superintendent communicates with the Person in Charge, ensures daily reports and time tickets are submitted, and drives efficient daily task planning while upholding Acadian F.I.R.S.T. safety values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience leading scaffolding operations.
• Experience conducting safety meetings and coordinating with project management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding standards and inspection procedures.
• Proficient in reading and completing JSAs and time tickets.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily JSAs and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure all crew members understand their work tasks and safety responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with the P.I.C. and sign off on all required paperwork before starting tasks.
• Oversee scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling.
• Inspect scaffolding for safety compliance and completeness.
• Submit JSAs, daily reports, and time tickets to the office at shift end.
• Organize and communicate next-day work tasks to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure the crew completes tasks safely and in a timely manner.
• Clarify client-specific expectations and promote operational efficiency.
