Job summary

Acadian Contractors, Inc. seeks a Scaffold Builder Superintendent to lead the East Coast scaffold crew in Cocoa, FL. You will oversee erection, modification and dismantling, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery of tasks while coordinating with the P.I.C. and signing off on required paperwork.

Daily JSAs, toolbox talks, and organized task planning are essential, with emphasis on proactive safety and efficient site operations across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in scaffolding operations.
• Experience conducting safety meetings and coordinating with project management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding standards and inspection procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and completing JSAs, daily reports, and time ticket submissions.
• Ability to inspect scaffolds and verify 100% completion.
• Experience in scaffold erection and hands-on assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily JSAs and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure all crew members understand their work tasks and safety responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with the P.I.C. and sign off on all required paperwork before starting tasks.
• Oversee scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling.
• Inspect scaffolding for safety compliance and completeness.
• Submit JSAs, daily reports, and time tickets to the office at the end of each shift.
• Organize and communicate next-day work tasks to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure the crew completes tasks safely and in a timely manner.
• Clarify client-specific expectations and promote operational efficiency during assignments.
