Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter to design and erect scaffolds and to lead a crew of Scaffold E&D Carpenters on site.

The role requires the ability to mentor crew members, ensure safety per OSHA guidelines, and work with various scaffold materials. Some trade school is preferred and at least 2 years of Scaffold E&D Carpenter experience is expected; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely and effectively manage a small crew to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of an E&D Foreman on site.
• Must have good knowledge of the OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding.
• Must have a good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used so that the intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceeded.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and erects various types of scaffolds.
• Lead Carpenter must act as a mentor and coach to the Scaffold E&D Carpenters to aid in their development.
• Lead Carpenter is required to work with tools.
