Job summary

Hubble Network in Seattle seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to drive the assembly, integration, and testing of satellite payloads, ensuring the hardware reaches orbit with reliability.

You will mentor technicians at the SODO facility, own the production workflow, and partner with design, verification, and supply teams to scale manufacturing for space-ready systems. ITAR compliance and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency are required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing or related field.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on assembly and integration of structural, mechanical, fluid, and avionic systems.
  • Proficient with torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Experience with adhesives, sealants, and fasteners.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate subcomponents and final assemblies according to specs.
  • Configure production areas with tooling for efficient manufacturing transitions.
  • Operate precision calibration tools to maintain safety and quality.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement for safety and productivity.
  • Perform operational tests, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
  • Support the transition from development to production, including preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S principles.
