Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC's Amazon Leo program seeks a Senior Aerospace Hardware Engineer to own the avionics hardware lifecycle—from architecture to production ramp—for satellite sensing and control. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive reviews, and define verification strategies to deliver robust, high-reliability hardware in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with systems, firmware, and manufacturing, and influence program milestones

Competenze

Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
5+ years hardware development across the full product lifecycle (concept through production at scale).
Experience with PCB design and debug, including processors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors.
Experience with complex board designs (e.g., high-speed interfaces, power electronics, or high-reliability systems).
Experience with ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
Experience driving hardware through bring-up, validation, and integration.
Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering preferred.
7+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability environments.

Own end-to-end delivery of satellite avionics subsystems, from architecture through production ramp.
Lead system and subsystem architecture, translating mission requirements into manufacturable designs.
Drive circuit design, analysis, and ECAD schematic capture to meet targets.
Lead hardware design reviews and set the technical bar for design quality.
Develop and execute bring-up, verification, and qualification test strategies.
Lead debugging and root cause resolution across development, qualification, and production.
Establish requirements, traceability, and verification frameworks for hardware subsystems.
Lead production readiness and ramp, including test strategy and yield improvement.
Influence cross-functional teams to deliver program milestones.
Act as a technical leader, mentoring engineers.
