Job summary

Lowes Foods Store 283 Indian Land is opening Fall 2025 to serve the local community with exceptional deli guest service. The role focuses on greeting guests, assisting with product information, preparing items, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of food service experience, be at least 18, and comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year prior food service preparation experience is a must.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests.
• Perform duties in a fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in deli area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Actively provide samples to guests and explain offerings as needed.
• Efficiently prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing, cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality, and freshness according to station guidelines.
• Sanitize cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and satisfy requests promptly.
• Communicate temperature and product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
• Train on duties of all hosts as outlined above.
• Work with management to ensure proper standards are maintained.
• Assist in completing schedules and handling orders.
• Perform front-end duties to minimize guest wait times.
• Announce specials and sale info over PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

The store will be packed with all our Guests’ favorite concepts that we can’t wait to share with this community! Indian Land was recently voted a best small town in South Carolina. It’s short 20-minute drive to Charlotte, NC and offers the best of small town feel with easy access to the hustle and bustle of city life! Indian Land has several parks for nature lovers, and breweries for those who love to socialize. And, with major sports teams and venues in Charlotte, there’s plenty to do!
