Optum is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to drive Salesforce and AI-enabled platform architecture. You will mentor teams, influence roadmaps, and partner with business leaders to deliver scalable, compliant health-tech solutions leveraging Einstein, NLP, and predictive models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Salesforce expertise
• 5+ years leading architecture of enterprise-scale platforms and distributed systems
• 5+ years cloud architectures, modern engineering practices, DevOps, and automation
• 3+ years influencing technical strategy across multiple teams
• 1+ years AI/ML, NLP, LLMs in production environments

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise strategy into Salesforce- and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead the technical vision and architecture for Salesforce and AI-enabled platforms.
• Drive modern engineering practices, API-first design, event-driven systems, and DevOps adoption.
• Mentor engineers and align technical work with business goals.
• Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance in healthcare environments.
