As the Lead Sales Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Store Manager with the daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth store flow, team coordination, and a consistent customer experience. Acting as a key link between the staff and management, you'll take initiative to lead by example, hold your team accountable, and uphold both compliance and company standards. You're ready to take ownership of your shift-handling everything from opening to closing with confidence and clarity.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Create and manage daily lunch and break schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and smooth operational flow throughout each shift.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to front-of-house staff, providing clear direction and ongoing support throughout the shift.
  • Oversee real-time store operations, stepping in to assist with or cover any position as needed to maintain efficiency and service quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Lead and manage front-of-house activities during assigned shifts, ensuring that all customer-facing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support the Store Manager in performance evaluations, offering insights and suggestions to help set goals, improve staff performance, and guide development.
  • Assist with corrective actions and coaching, participating in disciplinary meetings and providing feedback to help maintain a professional and productive environment.
  • Ensure team accountability by monitoring adherence to all Nirvana Cannabis policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all state regulations, proactively addressing any issues and keeping the dispensary in line with local cannabis laws.
  • Contribute to leadership meetings, providing relevant topics and feedback for Manager Meetings and bi-weekly Employee Meetings.
  • Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring patients and customers receive excellent service and care during every visit.
  • Resolve minor customer or employee concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to Store Manager when necessary.
  • Take ownership of your shift, staying present, proactive, and responsive to the needs of the team and the business.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools used for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Calm under pressure, able to navigate challenges and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and direct a team during active shifts.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all guests.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, including compliance and internal policies.
  • Ability to support budgetary efforts, as needed by management.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum one year of retail supervisory or team lead experience is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods during administrative tasks.
