Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a versatile Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist in setting plan-o-grams, provide excellent customer service, and help maximize store profitability while protecting assets.

Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking and facing merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, operating the cash register, and supporting a safe shopping environment. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks following store procedures.
Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
Operate cash register and bag purchases.
Greet customers and provide assistance.
Maintain store cleanliness and security while protecting assets.
