Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker with leadership responsibilities in the absence of store management. You will assist in plan-o-grams, stock and merchandise displays, and provide exemplary customer service while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the register, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Prior supervisory exposure or training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related training) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes following processes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves; build displays as directed.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register; total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and provide change.
• Maintain clean and organized front end and stockroom.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction.
