Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of management, maintain plan‑o‑grams, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will handle stocking, merchandising, and front-end operations while ensuring store cleanliness and loss prevention.

The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, teamwork, and adherence to company procedures. Full-time hours and on-site operations are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with some supervisory exposure preferred.
• Excellent math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram guidance and display standards.
• Strong communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and prepare stock for the floor.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise, rotate and face shelves, and build displays.
• Restock returned/recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise and provide service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including front-end areas.
• Operate the cash register and process payments accurately.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Open/close the store under supervisor direction.
