Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will assist in setting plan-o-grams, perform cashier duties, and ensure excellent customer service while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.
• Understanding of safety and loss prevention policies.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and unpack cartons.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and maintain displays.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist with locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and bag items.
• Maintain clean store area and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Provide customer service leadership when managers are absent.
