Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can supervise in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager and uphold store operations, customer service, and loss prevention. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, plan-o-grams, and assisting customers while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

You will operate the cash register, handle payments, and support daily store activities, including cleanliness and merchandising.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, safety and facility policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and plan-o-gram guidance.

Aufgaben

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock, group, and display merchandise; maintain clean store areas.
• Assist customers in locating items and run the register.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy; process payments and make change.
• Open/close store per Area Manager directions; monitor cash drawers and deposits.
• Maintain security practices and proper cashier accountability.
