Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, customer-first store environment and lead operations in the Store Manager's absence. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help with planograms and store readiness.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, cash handling ability, and adherence to safety policies. Supervision background is preferred; opportunities for growth exist within Dollar General's store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Familiarity with cash handling and register procedures.
• Ability to follow safety policies and cashier accountability rules.
• Ability to drive to bank for deposits.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service and greet customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise; assist with displays.
• Clean store, take out trash, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
