Job summary

VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA seeks a Safety Professional to develop and implement health, safety and environmental (HSE) programs for the Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners project in the Chicago area, including compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will lead site-specific EHS plans, coordinate subcontractor safety protocols, conduct audits, investigate incidents, provide training, and monitor environmental and industrial hygiene measures to protect workers and the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, civil engineering or construction management.
• 7+ years of construction safety experience, including heavy construction.
• First aid/CPR/AED certified.
• OSHA Construction Standards knowledge (OSHA30).
• Proficient in MS Office; good communication and teamwork.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements site-specific EHS plans with the Project Manager and management team.
• Coordinates subcontractor safety protocols and project EHS programs.
• Conducts quarterly site audits and routine inspections for compliance.
• Investigates accidents; prepares incident reports and ensures medical evaluation for injured employees.
• Advises on industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring.
• Manages Drug-Free Workplace Policy and required testing.
• Provides EHS training, including new hire orientations.
• Delivers weekly EHS updates to leadership.
