Major Drilling America is seeking an Underground Field Safety Coordinator to plan, implement, and coordinate health, safety, and environmental programs for underground drilling operations across the United States. This role partners with field personnel, mine operators, and management to identify hazards and ensure adherence to MSHA regulations and company standards.

The position requires travel to active underground sites, strong safety leadership, training delivery, and the ability to operate

Qualifications

• Requires MSHA regulations knowledge and field safety experience.
• Underground mining and drilling safety experience preferred.
• MSHA Instructor Certification preferred.
• Experience with MSHA 5000-23 documentation and compliance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and hazards to determine root causes and actions.
• Conduct underground safety inspections of drill stations and equipment to verify MSHA compliance.
• Prepare and communicate findings from investigations, audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Deliver underground safety training programs, including hazard recognition and Stop Work Authority.
• Verify training documentation and MSHA 5000-23 compliance for workers.
• Support supervisors in examinations, inspections, risk assessments, and training.
• Review drilling plans and procedures to identify hazards before work begins.
• Analyze safety metrics and incidents to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee ventilation, dust, noise, and environmental hazard monitoring.
