Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Safety Manager to lead workplace safety programs for a food-contact packaging manufacturing environment. You will develop, implement, and oversee policies, train employees, and drive a culture of safety excellence across multiple sites.

The role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and requires strong leadership, incident investigations, data analysis, and bilingual English/Spanish communication to engage all levels of staff, including off-shift crews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• CSP or OSHA certifications including CPR and first aid.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in manufacturing, preferably food packaging.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish.
• Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and update safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments of equipment, environment, and processes to achieve zero incidents.
• Manage reporting related to workplace injuries and near-misses, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and conduct regular safety training programs for all employees.
