Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Construction Project Safety Manager in Santa Teresa, NM to lead safety for an electrical and utility construction data center project. You will oversee field safety technicians, ensure NFPA 70E compliance, and partner with management, electrical supervision, and subcontractors to drive a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction site safety experience.
• Minimum 3 years in lead safety/onsite leadership role.
• NFPA 70E Training/Certification.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Strong electrical construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Project Safety Manager for electrical and utility construction operations.
• Provide daily leadership and direction to multiple field safety technicians.
• Assign safety coverage and ensure oversight of active work areas.
• Mentor safety personnel and maintain consistent safety expectations across the project.
• Maintain a visible field presence with electrical crews and supervision.
• Oversee electrical installation, utility, and infrastructure construction activities.
• Monitor high‑risk electrical work and ensure NFPA 70E compliance.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control practices.
• Conduct and oversee site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Review JHAs, permits, pre‑task plans, and high‑risk activities.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and craft personnel.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Track safety deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain project safety documentation and metrics.
