Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks an experienced Construction Project Safety Manager for a large-scale data center construction project in Santa Teresa, NM. The role leads the on-site safety program, guiding the safety team and coordinating with management, electrical supervision, and subcontractors.

You will balance hands-on field engagement with leadership responsibilities to drive consistent safety performance on a fast-paced, mission-critical project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction site safety experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a Lead Safety Manager / onsite safety leadership role.
• NFPA 70E training or certification.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong electrical construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety management for electrical and utility construction operations.
• Provide daily leadership to multiple field safety technicians.
• Oversee safety coverage and active work area oversight.
• Mentor safety personnel and enforce safety expectations.
• Maintain a visible field presence with crews and supervision.
• Oversee electrical installation and utility construction activities.
• Monitor NFPA 70E compliance on high-risk electrical work.
• Support LOTO, hazardous energy control, and safe work practices.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Review JHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Coordinate safety with project management and subcontractors.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and metrics.
• Provide field coaching and hazard recognition training.
• Promote accountability and a strong safety culture.
