Job summary

The Weitz Company, LLC is seeking a Safety Manager to provide regional safety leadership, oversee safety programs, and lead incident investigations. This role emphasizes implementing company safety standards, training, and preconstruction safety planning across a designated region.

Qualifications

• Four years of construction safety experience in a formal safety capacity.
• Data center construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep business apprised of safety regulatory changes and implement them in the field.
• Provide general counsel and recommendations for safety programs, practices, and procedures.
• Support site inspections by third-party representatives and OSHA inspectors.
• Facilitate safety inspections and verify adequacy of corrective actions.
• Ensure employees can stop unsafe work until issues are resolved.
• Coordinate the Safety Committee and promote a positive safety culture.
• Present incident investigation facts for Evaluation by Safety Accountability Committee.
• Communicate safety issues and best practices across the organization.
• Generate and provide high-quality safety training.
• Verify incident investigations for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform inspections of construction projects to evaluate compliance.
• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments (noise, air, etc.).
• Support proposal activities detailing company capabilities for client questions.
• Participate in creating project safety plans.
