Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) seeks a Superintendent, Safety, Health and Security to lead field safety programs across Nevada Projects. You will drive risk management, regulatory compliance, and a proactive safety culture with operations, construction, and maintenance teams.

Role requires MSHA instructor capability or certification and 5+ years' health and safety leadership in U.S. mining, preferably Nevada. Strong incident investigation and training leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related discipline preferred.
• MSHA Instructor certification required or ability to obtain.
• CSP, CSHM or equivalent designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of health and safety leadership experience in U.S. mining, preferably Nevada.
• Experience leading safety programs in surface mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and oversight of safety, health, and security programs across Nevada Projects.
• Develop, implement, and improve safety systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Embed proactive safety culture with Operations, Construction, Maintenance, and Projects.
• Lead MSHA safety training, investigations, and risk assessment programs.
• Maintain records, oversee inspections, and manage emergency response plans.
• Lead contractor safety orientation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Analyze incident trends and lead corrective actions and continuous improvement.
