Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America is seeking a Superintendent of Safety, Health and Security to provide field leadership for occupational health, safety, and security programs across Nevada Projects. This role partners with Operations, Construction, Maintenance and Project teams to embed a proactive safety culture and maintain compliance with MSHA, OSHA and state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture through field leadership and engagement.
• Promote accountability and stop-work authority across the organization.
• Lead behavior-based safety programs and coach supervisors.
• Manage MSHA/OSHA compliance and regulatory documentation.
• Oversee occupational health programs and industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Support site security programs and contractor access controls.
• Lead MSHA training and safety orientations for new miners.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain Safety Management Information Systems to track risk.
