Job summary

ASPCA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager for our Community Veterinary Clinic on-site in New York. You will lead floor operations, assist veterinarians, and coordinate care across HQHVSN and primary pet care services for underserved communities.

You must hold a New York State RVT license, have at least five years as an RVT, and two years in people management. Lifting up to 40+ lbs and Fear Free Shelter considerations apply; on-site benefits accompany a robust team

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited veterinary technology program.
• Minimum five years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Minimum two years people management experience.
• Must have current New York State Veterinary Technician License.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Coach nursing staff to ensure high-quality, low-stress care and client communication.
• Coordinate workflow on the clinic floor and ensure adherence to CM procedures.
