Job summary

ASPCA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager for the Community Veterinary Clinic in New York. You will lead on the clinic floor, support HQHVSN and primary pet care, and collaborate with the management team to optimize daily workflow and patient care.

Responsibilities include medical tech duties, team coaching, and ensuring high-quality service while adhering to CM protocols. This on-site role emphasizes compassionate care for underserved communities and staff

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited veterinary technician program.
• Minimum five years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery; shelter medicine and HQHVSN experience preferred.
• Minimum two years people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep/assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants to support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Coach nursing staff to handle patients in a gentle, low-stress manner and to communicate effectively with clients.
