Job summary

The St. James Hotel in Minnesota is seeking a Rooms Manager/Housekeeping Supervisor to lead housekeeping operations on assigned shifts and supervise staff to maintain the property to brand standards and guest expectations.

Responsibilities include supervising the cleaning of rooms, inspecting facilities, coordinating with other departments, and addressing guest requests to ensure high guest satisfaction. The role requires 2 years of related experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Basic office skills, experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Investigate, respond, and/or take corrective action to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
• Perform or assist with Rooms Division cleaning or other duties as needed.
