Job summary

Diligent Robotics in Austin, Texas, seeks a Lead Engineer, Issue Management & Triage to own reliability and failure investigations for our deployed robotic fleet. You will lead classification frameworks, build internal tools, and develop automation pipelines that improve field performance.

You will partner with Engineering, ROC, and Operations to translate field issues into prioritized technical work, drive RCA, and push long-term fixes across hardware, software, and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in relevant technical or program management roles (e.g., engineering, incident management).
• 3+ years of people management.
• Experience with complex, real-world systems (robotics, autonomous/distributed systems, or hardware‑software products).
• Proven track record building operational tools, systems, or infrastructure for workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own Issue Management & Triage Systems – design end-to-end intake, triage, and escalation frameworks.
• Build Tools & Automation – develop automation pipelines to ingest, process, and classify data.
• Bridge Operations & Engineering – act as the main interface between ROC and Engineering.
• Performance Measurement & Classification – create frameworks to measure AI/robot performance and failures.
• Build dashboards and reporting to track trends, severity, and impact.
