Job summary

Job Juncture in Wisconsin seeks a Lead Welding Engineer to drive robotic welding systems and process qualification across complex automation projects. You will act as the primary technical authority for weld process development, WPS validation, and quality compliance.

This supervisor-level role offers mentorship of Robotic Welding Technicians, collaboration with engineering and quality teams, and occasional travel to client facilities for startup support.

Qualifications

5–8+ years of welding engineering experience in production or automation.
Proven ability to develop and qualify WPS/PQR and resolve weld defects.
Deep knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX codes.
U.S. citizenship or green card required; willing to commute to Pewaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

Lead technical mentoring of Robotic Welding Technicians.
Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welding parameters.
Collaborate with design engineers on fixtures and cell layouts.
Support project estimates with weld process feasibility and cycle times.
Assist with robot commissioning and process validation at client sites.
