Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer for a supervisor-level role at the Pewaukee, WI site. The successful candidate will lead Robotic Welding Technicians, develop welding procedures, and ensure code compliance across complex automation projects.

You will mentor technicians, review weld paths, qualify WPS, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet customer specifications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding or Mechanical Eng or equivalent hands-on experience required.
• 5–8+ years progressive welding engineering experience.
• US work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).
• Willingness to commute to Pewaukee (~45 mins).

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Robotic Welding Technicians, providing hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS/PQR).
• Select welding processes and evaluate fixtures and cell layouts for part access and repeatability.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX codes and defense-adjacent specs.
• Support project estimating regarding weld process feasibility, cycle times, and equipment requirements.
• Assist with equipment integration, robot commissioning, and process validation at client facilities.
