Job summary

Rio Rancho Center in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a clinical leader to spearhead a Skin Health and Wound management program, working with nursing center management to elevate patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities include serving as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products, overseeing durable medical equipment, and guiding interprofessional teams in standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must possess RN license.
• Must complete Skin Health Team Lead orientation and Wound Basics within 90 days.
• Commitment to attend monthly support calls.
• Must have or pursue national accredited wound certification within 1 year of hire.
• Knowledge and experience with charting, incident reporting and investigation response.
• Strong knowledge of standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, and others on the nursing center team.
• Experience in team building and interprofessional wound management.
• Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program in collaboration with nursing center management.
• Support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products.
• Oversee durable medical equipment related to prevention and management of wounds.
