Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Lead RN/Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care on a designated unit. Working 40 hours per week, days shift, you will collaborate with the Clinical Manager to ensure care quality and efficient use of resources.

You will guide staff, monitor safety and infection control, mentor colleagues, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining excellent patient experience. Requires RN licensure and nursing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state they are working or a multistate license.
• BLS required or preferred prior to entry into patient care setting.
• Certifications based on unit overseen (PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit with the care team.
• Oversee unit operations in the absence of the unit leader.
• Ensure safety, infection control and evidence-based care standards.
• Mentor staff and foster teamwork and effective communication.
• Facilitate patient placement, admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues.
