Job summary

Colorado Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons seeks a Part-Time Nurse III to supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs across shifts and ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes crisis response, comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and maintaining clinical records in line with state and VA standards.

You will liaise with physicians, dietary, and operations, support performance improvement, and ensure confidentiality while advocating for residents.

Qualifications

• Current BLS or CPR card and Colorado RN license in good standing.
• Three years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work.
• Substitutions allow education to substitute for up to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and evaluate a team of nursing staff on assigned shifts.
• Oversee and deliver direct patient care and administer medications and treatments.
• Maintain facility compliance with state and federal regulations and internal policies.
• Act as lead responder for medical and psychiatric emergencies and disasters.
• Coordinate care with physicians, dietary, and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure charting compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement and Utilization Review meetings.
