Job summary

Suffield House Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Supervisor/Charge Nurse to lead nursing staff and oversee care on assigned shifts at our Connecticut facility.

Requires CT RN license, CPR, and prior geriatric/rehabilitation experience. Strong English communication and MS Office skills are essential. This on-site role offers varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be a CT-licensed RN.
• Preferred 1 year geriatric/rehabilitation experience.
• Proficient in reading/writing English; able to follow instructions.
• Fluent knowledge of MS Office and general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Directs and enforces nursing policies and procedures with staff, families, and visitors.
• Supervises nursing personnel on assigned shifts to maintain continuity of care.
• Responds to emergencies and provides medical oversight within the facility.
• Ensures documentation on medical records is complete and accurate; conducts chart audits.
• Manages supplies and equipment availability; reports malfunctions.
• Assists in recruitment, orientation, and performance reviews of nursing staff.
• Assumes supervisor responsibilities on 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.
