Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, CT is seeking a full-time RN Supervisor for the day shift in our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will oversee a unit, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality resident care.

Candidates should have extensive clinical experience with prior administrative or supervisory training, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to coordinate care across shifts and with the health care team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing personnel follow their job descriptions.
• Monitor patient information to protect confidentiality and operations.

• Schedule and assign staff; follow up on work results.
• Walk rounds to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Assess residents on admission and as conditions change.
• Obtain and verify Physician Orders for accuracy.
• Communicate changes in resident conditions between shifts.
• Participate in facilities surveys by government agencies as requested.
• Plan and evaluate staff clinical competencies and orientation needs.
• Ensure sufficient nursing staff for each shift.

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located in New Haven, CT is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the day shift, for our Skilled Nursing Facility. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of a unit/floor, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions

• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing

• Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests

• Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results

• Perform walking rounds to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possible

• Assesses residents upon admission and periodically as conditions change

• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness

• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditions

• Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services

• Plans, implements and evaluates the clinical competencies and on-going educational/orientation needs of the staff

• Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained
