Job summary

Northwell Health seeks an RN Specialist for its Stem Cell Transplant program to lead and coordinate transplant clinical care. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, manage data submission, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as liaison for recipients and donors.

You will coordinate pre-transplant evaluations and complex scheduling to support timely, safe patient care. The role requires a BSN and an active NY RN license with 5–7 years of experience and 0–2 years in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current NY State RN license required.
• 5–7 years relevant experience and 0–2 years of leadership/management experience.
• Previous related experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment team approach to resident care.
• Lead and manage a team responsible for transplant clinical coordination, data submission, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison for recipients, donors, and NMDP.
• Coordinate pre-transplant patient and donor evaluations and tests.
• Manage new patient referrals and collection of records, slides, and radiology.
• Oversee scheduling of complex appointments and procedures.
• Manage program documentation and specimen handling.
• Provide support during critical phases including bone marrow harvest and day of infusion.
• Perform phone triage for patient inquiries and manage supplies and inventory.
• Evaluate and plan resident treatment programs and revise recovery plans.
• Provide input on medical issues for the Recovery Plan.
