Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse Lead for the 11S/11T Ortho Spine/ENT units in Aurora. You’ll lead a 36-hour week night team (1900-0730) across two private bed units on the Garden Tower, guiding care and ensuring high standards.

Requires a BSN, 5+ years RN experience, board licensure, and BLS. You’ll coordinate care, mentor staff, and support operational excellence in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and RN licensure in state of practice.
• At least 5 years RN experience; not suitable for new grads.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure unit operates efficiently during shifts, meeting patient care needs and policy requirements.
• Foster collaboration among healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff to maintain care standards.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff to promote continuous learning and growth.
• Oversee quality improvement initiatives and optimize patient care delivery.
