Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for part-time day shift at St James Hospital, Butte, MT. The role provides leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating resources to match census and acuity while maintaining financial stewardship.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, responding to emergencies, coordinating with the staffing office, and supporting unit management. BSN and MT RN license required, with BLS on hire; on-call and potential float duties may apply.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years or 15 years of acute care service.
• Montana RN license current.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides direct patient care, coordinating unit resources per census and acuity.
• Responds to patient emergencies and acts as charge/lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff during census changes.
• Communicates census, staffing, admissions, discharges and issues to the oncoming Charge Nurse.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative.
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission and values; adheres to service standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned; may float to other departments as needed.
• May be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.
