Pareto Inc. is hiring for a role that owns RL environments end-to-end, from scoping with researchers to shipping and maintaining production.

You will work between Pareto's engineering team and labs, ensuring specs are buildable and delivered quickly. The candidate should ship containerized services, manage production health, and contribute to a cost-efficient release pipeline. Relocation/travel to Bay Area may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production systems with end-to-end ownership.
• Proficient in production Python or TypeScript and reading unfamiliar code.
• Built and shipped containerized services with reproducible deployments.
• Experience with image builds, release notes, CI gates, and harnesses.
• Ability to own production incidents and write effective documentation.
• Based in the US, willing to travel to the Bay Area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the RL environment end-to-end, from problem scoping to production.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to define buildable specs.
• Maintain production health and lead when delivery pipelines degrade.
• Leverage platform capabilities to reduce costs and improve release cadence.
• Communicate gaps to the roadmap when platform falls short.
